Levitch remodels an Oakland basement into a Bedroom with an attached new Bathroom which borrows space to increase ceiling height.

Project Details

Location: Berkeley, CA

For this project, Levitch remodels a lower-level Bedroom and adds a new Bathroom.

  • Limited headroom in the Bathroom space made it necessary to raise the ceiling height. We cut down the floor joists of the floor above to achieve legal Bathroom height without digging down. The new door stands at 6’-5”.
  • The Bathroom features a new radiant heating system including a towel warmer.
