Family First Burlingame, CA This project was designed by Hector DeLeon, a friend of Levitch Associates, for a mutual friend. Truly a group effort and an homage to many years of collective friendship, Levitch built the project. Our clients wished to create a Kitchen and Family Room with an open floor plan, allowing for a more livable space that embodies their love for cooking and entertaining. The project included a completely remodeling the Kitchen and removing a wall between the Kitchen and Family Room. We stained new Douglas Fir flooring in the Kitchen area to match the refinished existing flooring in the Family Room. The hood structure received a custom plaster texture and features precast plaster corbels on either side. The existing windows remain in the Family Room. We added the French door and transom to access the new deck space, replacing a small side porch entrance which was once located near the current range wall.
