Gallery ProcessCompleted Project Project Details Location: Berkeley, CA The Cheese Board Parklet, the first of its kind in Berkeley, presents an innovative solution to a common urban problem. The space provides additional eating and seating space for The Cheese Board customers as well as being open to the public. The project engages with its environment, taking design cues from the urban streetscape and the framework of the city. The owners of the Collective helped to create mosaic flower boxes and planters surrounding the area. Many of the materials were salvaged from local sources, such as Douglas Fir from bleachers removed during the renovation of U.C. Berkeley Memorial Stadium.
