Project Details

Location: Elmwood, CA

We expand the Kitchen and remodel it in phase 1, then create an addition of a Second Floor and a Basement in phase 2.

The home is featured on the first Build it Green Home Tour in 2005, on which it earned the Best Large Home Renovation award. Green features include:

Passive solar gain through the new staircase
Extensive daylighting through windows, skylights and interior transoms
Solar (PV) panels
Counters made with recycled glass
Whole-house fan
Radiant (in floor) heating system
