Overview

Levitch uses a leaky deck as an opportunity to rework the entry so it now complements a Tudor home.

“We worked with Maurice to design and build a replacement for a rotted deck, stairs, and part of a foundation and garage on a 1928 stucco home. The end result is a much safer, more functional, and aesthetically pleasing front entrance that works perfectly with the vintage Tudor style. Maurice and his crew are reliable, considerate, communicate well, and have great attention to detail. I’d be glad to work with Levitch again if I have the opportunity to implement the rest of the larger home improvement projects on my wish-list.”

Project Details

Originally our client wanted just to replace the failing elements of a leaky deck. After meeting her at her home, we could tell it was going to be a bigger project.

  • We replaced the garage door, creating a walkway and more gradual steps from the driveway level while respecting required setbacks. The new walkway leads to the front entry stairs and porch that Levitch reconfigured and rebuilt.
  • The entry now has stairs and risers of durable precast concrete with a custom metal railing.
  • The new design is safe, functional and more appropriate to the Tudor style of her home.
