I needed to move…into my house in a couple of months’ time, so the team remodeled my kitchen and two bathrooms at a blistering pace. Despite the fact that I kept adding projects— fencing, fireplace and wall resurfacing, spare bedroom flooring, bedroom lighting, a concrete stair in the back yard, a dog door, etc.—my house was ready for me to move in within 2 and a half months. Maurice was remarkably adept at fashioning my roughly expressed ideas into an elegant reality; the end results consistently surpassed my expectations. Gallery Completed Project Project Details Location: El Cerrito, CA Our client purchased this home with hopes of completing its remodel prior to moving in. In order to meet the client’s goal, Levitch moved quickly with its design and construction. Before, the wood-paneled cabinetry and red flooring created a dark space with wood nearly everywhere. To update the space, we remove walls and natural pine cabinets but decide to take advantage of the natural beam ceilings. We add a skylight and uplighting to brighten the space. The new Purple cabinetry in the Kitchen balance the wood tones. By covering some of the wood paneling in the Living Room, the space adopts a more modern feel.
