Project Details

Location: Oakland, CA

This project was a commercial tenant improvement for Integral Group, an engineering firm specializing in sustainability. The project earned the highest LEED score to date for commercial interiors, well exceeding the requirements for the LEED Platinum (highest) rating. It was designed by Komorous -Towey Architects and built by Levitch Associates, Inc. Sustainable features include:

  • Lobby improvements including a custom steel reception desk with repurposed flexible copper water heater pipes and salvaged Redwood
  • Daylighting improvements
  • High-efficiency lighting with daylight sensors for automatic dimming and power monitoring
  • Restroom upgrades including the addition of waterless urinals
  • A new high-efficiency boiler for a hydronic (radiant) heat system
