Brown Shingle Transformation Berkeley, CA Back to Projects OverviewGalleryProject DetailsRelated Projects Overview Transitional style remodel upgrades structure, systems, and surfaces including a deck, Kitchen, formal and informal dining, and Bathroom. Gallery Completed Project Project Details Location: Berkeley, CA Our client wanted to phase their remodel. Phase 1: New foundation, roof, chimney top removal, and complete refinishing of walls, floors, and ceilings. Phase 2 : A new deck at the rear of the home allows the residents easy access to the splendid outdoors. Phase 3: Kitchen and Bathroom remodeling with the removal of structural walls to create a more open Kitchen, Nook, and Dining Area. A folding door system by Nanawall creates graceful access between the Nook area and the deck. Glass pocket doors separate the Nook from the formal Dining Room. We reused one door from another opening and custom-made the other to match it. Levitch invited Ingrid Ballman of Design For Spaces to help with interior design on this project.
